Taylorsville Lake State Park & Wildlife Management Area

The Lake bears the name of nearby Taylorsville, founded in 1799 by Richard Taylor, landowner and proprietor of a local grist mill. The Louisville District of the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers designed, built and operates the project for outdoor recreation and fish & wildlife preservation and enhancement. The Park offers the unbeatable combination of woods and water for outdoor leisure & recreation.
