Morganfield is the site of Abraham Lincoln's only political speech in Kentucky. During the Civil War, there were a number of skirmishes in and around Union County and Morganfield.
The Confederate Monument in Odd Fellows Cemetery commemorates soldiers "Who gave their lives for what they deemed just."
The Civil War Museum in Morganfield is presently closed for renovation. Watch for the reopening date.
