With fewer people than any other county in the state, as well as being the second smallest in size, Robertson County boasts some of the most scenic vistas and is steeped in early Kentucky history.
Visting the county seat of Mt. Olivet is sure to bring back visions of quaint small town life reminiscent of times long gone.
This small hamlet nestled in rolling hills was said to have been started by itinerant peddlers following buffalo trails between Maysville and Cynthiana. According to state records, Mt. Olivet was incorporated in 1851. In addition to Mt. Olivet, Kentontown, Bridgeville and Pinhook are among its picturesque towns.
