Watch one-of-a-kind emerge from pieces of Kentucky hardwood. See precious metals and stones transferred into wearable treasures. At the Appalachian Artisan Studio, artists participate in a unique program that supports their small business on many different levels.
Tour groups can schedule their visits to see artisans at work and enjoy live demonstrations.
Todd Partridge is the former wood/furniture master artist-in-residence at the Studio. Shown here as he works on a piece of walnut. Partridge is an award-winning wood worker and graphic designer.
Jewelry artist Jan Stanfill was the first graduate of the Kentucky School of Craft's jewelry program and the first tenant in the Studio.
See Below for Examples of Stanfill's work. She is especially known for the dogwood flower inspired crosses she makes.
