The Underground Railroad Bicycle Route travels from Mobile, Alabama to Owen Sound, Onatario covering an corridor of 2,028 miles. The states included in this corridor are: Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, Pennyslvania, and into Ontario. The Kentucky section begins around the Land Between the Lakes and leaves the state in Owensoboro.
This trail honors the bravery of those who fled bondage and those who provided shelter.

Land Between the Lakes is an outdoor playground with unlimited fun. LBL is a 40 mile peninsula between lakes Kentucky and Barkley. Has 300 miles of shoreline. A visitor center and planetarium can be found at Golden Pond. |
