Gallatin boasts some of middle Tennessee's finest preserved home and sites from the late 1700-early 1800 period such as Cragfont, Wynnewood, and Fort Bledsoe Historic Park. Trousdale Place is the historic home of former Tennessee Governor William Trousdale. Gallatin would also have to boast some wonderful antique shops with a history like this. Come visit, explore and take home a piece of the past. Don't forget to see the Sumner County Museum and the Palace Theater - Tennessee's oldest silent movie house.
