Mary Breckinridge's home, "The Big House" was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1991. In 2001, the home was licensed as a bed and breakfast inn. 2-story rustic log cabin was built in 1925 is stepped in tradition, displays of heroine nurses to its roaring fireplace. 8 guest rooms - 4 rooms in The Big House and 4 rooms in The Barn (gift shop located here). Southern Living Magazine has described the hearty country breakfast as "fit not just for a king but for the whole kingdom."

Located at the entrance of the Daniel Boone National Forest trailhead you will find the Willie Begley Memorial RV Park. The park has 27 slots with electric, water and cable tv. Each slot has its own picnic table and fire ring for camp fires. Bathrooms and showers are located in the Witt trailhead building.
