Construction on the sixth and present Perry County courthouse was completed in 1965. H.A. Spaulding was the architect for the new building. D. Johnson of Ashland was awarded the contract for construction in 1964. The courthouse is of modern classical design with a recessed Doric order portico. The final cost of the new courthouse was $910,000.
