APPENDIX “A” Adventure Tourism Website
The website knottcountyadventure.com was created for Knott County which features the many adventure tourism offerings currently available and the auxiliary businesses of interest to the traveling public that might encourage them to stay longer in the area.
APPENDIX “B” Marketing Brochure of Existing Businesses and Offerings.
A four-color brochure designed and printed featuring the adventure tourism offerings in the county along with dining, shopping and lodging opportunities and maps of the county and the region. The cost for printing was paid for by selling ad space in the brochure. 30,000 brochures were printed. The members of the tourism commission met on numerous occasions to critique the brochure and assisted in selling the ad space. The brochure was printed and distributed at this year’s state fair. APPENDIX “D” Adventure Tourism Brochure
A second, more informational brochure was developed during the months of September and October to be a companion marketing piece to both the website and ad brochure. The publication will be printed when funds become available. APPENDIX “G”

A partnership formed with the state, the Kentucky Coal Association and the counties that offered elk tours and viewing opportunities. Both a video and companion 4-color brochure called “Elk Tours and More” were developed and are now being distributed in state welcome centers and featured at three state parks.
And, through a partnership with Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Knott County Fiscal Court, the Knott County Tourism Commission hosted the first ever Elk Expo at the Knott County Sportsplex attracting over 1,000 visitors to the two-day event.
