The third and present Wolfe County courthouse was completed in 1917. The courthouse was constructed to replace the previous building, which was destroyed by fire in 1913. The building has a traditional colonial design and is constructed of yellow brick. One of the most interesting features of the courthouse is that a relief of a Wolf appears on the pediment of the portico. Wings have been added to the side of the building in recent years.
