In 1909 the fourth and present Lincoln County courthouse was completed. Frank P. Milburn designed the new courthouse from his office in Washington, D.C. J.R. Powell supervised the construction.

The building has a classic Beaux-Arts design with unique brick round columns supporting the two-story portico. In 1940-41 additions were added under a grant from the Public Works Administration.
